Joseph Acosta is Roshambo’s Operations Manager, Atlanta native, punk-show regular, amateur UFC matchmaker and a man who has watched eight full seasons of Ink Master despite claiming he “doesn’t really watch TV.”
Joe grew up in the Atlanta area as the oldest of three kids, with a Guatemalan mother, Cuban father and two younger sisters who unknowingly became his first restaurant guests. He made their lunches every school day, developing an early love of food and hospitality while presumably receiving zero tips. Years later, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Kennesaw State University, proving there was apparently a career hiding in those sandwiches all along. He has nearly filled the Unsukay bingo card, with time at Muss & Turner’s and MTH Pizza, before coming to Roshambo.
Outside of work, Joe can usually be found somewhere in Atlanta’s punk, metal and DIY scene. He loves to travel, with a recent trip to his mother’s home country of Guatemala topping the list. Cuba, where his paternal grandparents were born, is next.
His other bucket-list items include owning a small business and attending a live UFC event. Until then, he spends an objectively concerning amount of time fantasy-booking UFC fights because he’s convinced he could do a better job than Dana White.
